The Arkansas Repertory Theatre is located in the city of Little Rock in central Arkansas. It is the state's largest non-profit professional theatre company and is known for its diverse range of theatrical work ranging from contemporary comedies and dramas to world premieres and literature classics.
The theatre company has produced more than 300 productions including 40 world premieres and produces eight to ten productions a year with an annual audience of nearly 70,000. The theatre company's building in downtown Little Rock has a 385-seat auditorium and a smaller 99-seat auditorium. The theater company also hosts various events such as the Distinguished Speaker Series in partnership with the Clinton School of Public Service. An interesting attraction to the theatre company's productions are its "Pay What You Can" nights. The "Pay What You Can" nights occur on the week of opening night of a performance. On these nights the patrons can pay any desired amount for their tickets as long as the tickets are purchased in person at the theatre's box office.
