The Little Rock Zoo is the largest Zoo in Arkansas and one of the largest in the South. The zoo has been serving the public since 1926 when it began with two animals, a wolf and a circus bear. Now they feature over 600 animals and 170 species, everything from aardvarks to zebras.

The zoo is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm, with last admission an hour before closing. The zoo is very active in the community, hosting bingo events every Wednesday. General admission is $10. In addition to the animal paddocks the zoo also feasters a café, train, and carousel, along with many other family friendly activities. Also available for rent are wheelchairs, powered scooters, and single and double strollers and kid wagons. People may become zoo members with a contribution of $60 for individuals, $85for families. Members enjoy a 15% discount at Café Africa and on zoo merchandise, free regular admission all year and free parking.

The Little Rock Zoo is a partner with over 160 other zoos and aquariums in the US and Canada where members can enjoy admission discounts when they present their Little Rock Zoo membership card.
