Grand Rapids Michigan is a lovely city located roughly 25 miles east of Lake Michigan. It has a population of just fewer than 200,000 people, and is the second largest city in the state of Michigan (second to Detroit). Interestingly enough, Grand Rapids’ is also nicknamed "Furniture City" due to the fact that it is home to five of the world’s leading furniture companies

As for sightseeing and tourism, there is plenty to see and do in and around the city, from spending the day gazing at the stars at the Roger B Chafee Planetarium or visiting the Gerald R. Ford Museum. Additionally, Grand Rapids is home to the Grand Rapids Symphony as well as the Grand Rapids Barbershop Chapter Great Lakes Chorus, an all-male a Capella barbershop chorus.
