Passenger flow has increased dramatically in recent years, with an annual increase of over 25% from 2009 to 2010. In the last year, AirTran has started commercial service, and Allegiant Airlines has started nonstop service to Orlando, Florida.
Overall, the airport saw over 700,000 passengers in 2010. Even President Obama visited in 2011, with Air Force One landing at the airport.
