Snow Canyon State park
Snow Canyon State park near St. George Utah is a unique experience. This location is famously known for the breathtaking red-rock scenery, and is named after early Utah leaders Erastus and Lorenzo Snow.
With beautiful weather guests to the canyon enjoy biking, hiking, and camping year round, despite its name there is rarely any snow. The sandstone cliffs that surround the canyon are vibrant red and white, contrasting against the black lava rocks that have tumbled down, and top off some of the ridges.
There are over 16 miles of trails for horseback riding, biking, hiking, and advance rock climbing. Many visitors enjoy the wildlife and photographic opportunities of nature available as well. Campsites are accessible and rented out year round; there are locations for both tents and RVs, some with water and electrical access. An RV up to 40 feet can be parked on the site, and there are group areas for camping available as well. Camping locations also are equipped with additional trails, showers, modern restrooms, and RV dump stations for guest’s convenience.
