Tom Triplett Park in Pooler, GA offers the outdoor enthusiast so many opportunities to explore, exercise, and learn history. Pooler is located just outside of Savannah, GA but visitors can expect to escape the hustle and bustle of a large town for the serenity of nature here.
The park offers a 1.5 mile paved and lighted trail around the lake where running or biking is allowed. There are also tennis courts and a playground for kids. Two fishing piers will undoubtedly provide memories for years to come in parents and children alike. Built along the lake is a championship Frisbee golf course that offers 18 holes of challenging competition. With it being one of the largest courses in the region, it is sure to rouse all levels of players. For winding down after so many recreational sports, visitors can take a short walk down the Savannah/Ogeechee Canal Trail to see the Canal that dates back to 1826, when it was used to connect the two rivers for commerce.
If all of that isn't enough to fill a day out, the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum is just down the road and offers a unique insight into the lives of American Airmen during WWII.
