Savannah Science Museum
Savannah Science Museum (912) 447-8655 305 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Savannah, GA 31401
The Savannah Science Museum is located in Savannah, Georgia and is a great place for a school field trip or as an educational (and fun!) family outing. This museum is interesting in the fact that its exhibits are related to Savannah's coastal environments, which is a nice way to allow kids to learn more about where they grew up.
Apart from the exhibit hall, the museum also boasts a hands-on discovery room, and has many special programs that are available only by reservation. These programs include, but are not limited to, puppet shows on specific topics, and various presentations of rocks and minerals, and fossils. Furthermore, the Savannah Science Museum also has a planetarium, and who isn't fascinated by the wonders of space? Looking into the night sky has been a a favored pasttime throughout human history, and will continue to be more a while; especially when a high-powered telescope is available for public use!
Enhancing the museum's appeal even more are the live animals that are on display, including different types of reptiles and amphibians. Overall, this Science Museum is fun trip for both kids and adults alike.
