The Asheville Art Museum is a public museum in Western North Carolina, officially recognized by the American Association Of Museums. It is located in the center square of downtown AsheVille. The museum remains opened from Tuesday to Saturday between 10AM to 5PM, Friday 10AM to 8PM and Sunday 1PM to 5PM. It gives light and infuses life into the minds of people visiting there.
The museum consists of a wide range of American art collections of the 20th and 21st centuries. There are many exhibitions on display and many public programs available. Features of prominent regional and national artists are also displayed as a part of special exhibitions. North Carolina's inherited cultural history includes Studio Craft, Black- Mountain College and Cherokee artists. The museum conducts special education programs for children and adults.
